Hi Michael, I really like your work! I am currently finishing my MPA degree and my project is using AI for efficiency with transparency in government. I woould love to collaborate.
Such a great application of AI for civic improvement! I'd be curious to understand if something like this could better quantify how even well intentioned gov systems and process add red tape in both time and cost.
This is great! A visualization makes it much easier to understand what's going on inside our gov system.
My immediate reaction is that there are a lot more departments and commissions than I realized! I'm curious why we have so many. A lot seem like they could be consolidated. I can't imagine being the mayor and trying to keep track of all of them
That's encouraging. I think if we have the right resources at the right levels, the mayor won't have to worry. We have some very good people, they just need some tools and some backing
This is very cool. Have you ever considered a inward facing system? I think large agencies have a real transparency problem internally, that create a lot of friction
Let me know if there is anything I could do to help. I am a software dev living and working in the city and somewhat active in city gov for a private citizen. Have done some civic tech adjacent things as private projects, though never published anything.

Great - shoot me an email

This is the sort of thing I wanted to understand more about and part of the motivation for this tool! More good stuff yet to build
I want it in Croatia! When can we have it? 🥹🙏

This is actually an area of active discussion! Check out the CSTF which came from Prop E in November 2024 https://www.sf.gov/commission-streamlining-task-force

You're right! We're currently exploring that actually
That's awesome. I have seen a lot of "low hanging fruit". I think a project like that could have rapid and meaningful success
Very neat, would love to bring this to Detroit
First vote for Detroit - awesome!

This is amazing and super useful.
Thank you, I'm glad it's helpful!
Subscribed! Love the work. Can you post a description of what it takes (in skills, resources, and time) to stand this up for a city?
