Coming Soon: How SF Government Works
A civics class delivering expertise on the San Francisco city government. Launching early 2024.
There is no path to a flourishing civilization without good government, but if we want good government, we need good citizenship. This must include understanding the mechanics of government; the major pieces, how they fit together, and how the whole system operates. Citizens with this knowledge are powerful. They can accurately interpret what is happening and more capably pursue what they believe ought to happen.
San Francisco needs more good citizens, and we’re going to start bringing them online by teaching How SF Government Works - a civics class delivering expertise on the San Francisco city government. We will build a solid foundation for thinking about government and the law, and then dive deep into the mechanics of the SF city government as we explore the system.1
Students will walk away with a complete map of the SF city government. They will have full visibility into how the system works and how it came to be. Crucially, they will have the tools they need to exercise good citizenship going forward.
The first cohort launches early 2024. The class will meet once a week in person in San Francisco. Seats are limited. Sign up below to stay in the loop.
